Since February 2025, Sciforma has belonged to Planview and the product has been renamed “Planview ProjectAdvantage”. If you are a CIO or a PMO and this acquisition has you reassessing your PPM tool, here is a factual comparison of the alternatives — including AirSaas, which brings the key data of your project portfolio together into a single consolidated, decision-oriented macro view.
Already adopted by 100+ CIOs of mid-market companies and large groups
Kiabi · Valrhona · Leroy Merlin
On 18 February 2025, US vendor Planview announced it had completed its acquisition of Sciforma. The brand has been fading ever since: the Sciforma Vantage product was renamed Planview ProjectAdvantage, sciforma.com now redirects to planview.com, and the support portal has been rebranded. For French customers — Sciforma was deeply established in France, not least since it acquired French vendor One2Team in 2021 — three things are worth stating calmly.
The acquisition is complete and the Sciforma brand is giving way to Planview ProjectAdvantage. Planview, owned by TA Associates and TPG, has already absorbed a dozen vendors (Clarizen, Changepoint, Projectplace…) — and Sciforma itself was the product of successive consolidations (One2Team, merger with KeyedIn).
No end of life has been announced for the product to date: Planview states that “existing customers will be able to keep using their products as they do today” and is actively selling ProjectAdvantage. Let us be precise: nothing forces you to migrate — but no public long-term roadmap commitment has been made either.
A post-acquisition contract renewal is the right moment to reassess: ProjectAdvantage user reviews have long pointed to a complex interface and a heavy rollout (G2 shows an average implementation time of 5 months), and the tool still has no public price list. If what you actually need is portfolio steering and decision-making — more than fine-grained planning — this is your chance to pick a tool your teams will genuinely adopt.
Positioning, pricing and reviews verified in July 2026 on vendor websites and on G2, Capterra and Appvizer.
The opposite of heavyweight PPM: no task management, no timesheets, but a consolidated macro view of the portfolio, steering committees with proper tooling (decisions and attention points on the record), a flash report in one click and native integrations (Jira, Asana, monday, Teams…).
Who it is for: French mid-market companies — CIOs, PMOs, transformation departments (Kiabi, Valrhona, Picoty, Comexposium).
Price: €60 excl. VAT per active project per month, unlimited users — where the whole category quotes on request.
Its limitation, by design: if you are after a detailed Gantt chart and time entry, AirSaas syncs with your execution tools rather than replacing them.
What really counts: adoption. Sponsors and business teams come on board at no extra cost, so the data stays current — which is exactly where classic PPM tools fall down.
The default option: keep the former Sciforma under its new brand. The product remains a full multi-methodology PPM (demand, prioritization with scenarios, capacity, dashboards).
Who it is for: large-account PMOs already equipped.
Price: on request (the Capterra listing shows $760 per user per year — catalogue data not confirmed by the vendor).
Reviews: G2 4.2/5 (61 reviews), Capterra 4.4/5 (67 reviews).
What really counts: the cost of leaving and the cost of staying are both real — reviews point to a demanding interface and a long rollout (≈ 5 months on average according to G2). Decide at renewal, not under pressure.
A French-born vendor covering the whole chain from strategy to execution: OKRs, hybrid portfolios (Waterfall, Agile, SAFe), capacity planning, budgets.
Who it is for: mid-market and large accounts with a PMO team staffed to administer the tool.
Price: on request, 14-day trial.
Reviews: Capterra 4.8/5 (39 reviews), with support singled out for praise (4.9/5).
What really counts: its flexibility is real — and that is also the trade-off. Several French reviews describe a steep learning curve and a busy interface. Plan for who, on your side, will be the administrator.
Planisware's “turnkey” offering, designed for PMOs who want results quickly: ideation, collaborative planning, resources, budgets, governance, Jira/Teams/Power BI integrations.
Who it is for: mid-market PMOs looking for an established French vendor.
Price: on request, 14-day trial.
Reviews: Capterra 4.2/5 (19 reviews), with French-language support explicitly appreciated.
What really counts: standard reporting has come up as a recurring criticism since 2020 — budget for customization, or check in the demo that the native dashboards are enough for your committees.
A 100% French solution (Nantes, 25 years), deeply established in the public sector — local authorities, hospitals, ministries — as well as in mid-market companies: portfolio reviews, budgets, capacity, time entry, hosting in France.
Who it is for: the public sector and organizations that care about data sovereignty.
Price: on request (all-inclusive licence, based on the number of users).
Reviews: Capterra 4.4/5 (19 reviews), rated easy to pick up.
What really counts: it is the near-unavoidable reference in French public tenders. The most frequent criticism here, too, is about working with the reports.
A French vendor claiming a PPM that is “100% French, hosted in France” with a SecNumCloud option, large-account references (Airbus, Crédit Agricole Alpes Provence) and one watchword: simplicity, with a rollout measured in weeks.
Who it is for: organizations of 100+ employees, private or public (listed with the French UGAP procurement body).
Price: on request, one-month POC.
Reviews: only 5 Capterra reviews, 4 of them from 2020 — and no G2 listing at all.
What really counts: honestly, there is too little public material to form an independent view. Ask for customer references in your sector before going further.
A French project and portfolio management tool with a built-in methodology: project charter, Gantt, risks, timesheets, planned/actual budgets, pre-filled flash report.
Who it is for: SMEs and smaller mid-market companies structuring their project culture without a heavy implementation project.
Price: free Basic plan (1 project), Enterprise on request.
Reviews: Capterra 4.5/5 (21 reviews), Appvizer 4.6/5.
What really counts: the built-in methodology standardizes practice — valuable when every project manager has their own. The trade-off: limited customization and a less modern interface.
Not a PPM in the strict sense, but the most widely adopted collaborative platform on the market, with portfolio views, Gantt charts, no-code automations and a dedicated PMO offering.
Who it is for: teams whose primary need is collaborative execution.
Price: €9 to €19 excl. VAT per user per month (annual, minimum 3 seats).
Reviews: G2 4.7/5 (16,900+ reviews), Capterra 4.6/5 (6,000+ reviews).
What really counts: portfolio governance (trade-offs, committee cadence, consolidation) is still yours to build, and the cost climbs with the higher plans. Excellent at execution — to be topped up above it.
The four options most comparable for a mid-market CIO or PMO — “Planview” here meaning ProjectAdvantage, the former Sciforma. Data verified in July 2026 (vendor sites, G2, Capterra); “on request” means no public price list is available.

Run your company's transformation program more effectively with AirSaas, the collaborative governance platform.
The purpose of AirSaas is simple: to make the CIO and the PMO the pivots of their company's transformation, by saving them time on reporting and letting them bring the leadership team, project managers, sponsors and business units along on their projects.
AirSaas was designed from what CIOs and PMOs told us about their traditional project portfolio management solutions. The verdict: too complex, not clear enough. In AirSaas, user experience is put to work for your transformation, so you can see the progress of every project simply and make decisions effectively.

In AirSaas you customize the views of your project portfolio to suit your needs. The list view lets you go through your projects while taking in their key indicators at a glance. The Kanban view shows projects by how far along they are. The timeline view helps you see how projects are spread over time, as a Gantt chart. Everything you need to prioritize your projects effortlessly.
Name only the key players in your governance as administrators (CIO, PMO, project managers…), and let your other stakeholders access AirSaas free of charge in "observer" mode. Your PPM dashboard is collaborative and brings everyone along in your transformation — but never at the expense of your budget.

Our AirSaas experts know the platform inside out — and they know what the people running transformation programs need, too! Take advantage of optional workshops to help you put the best practices of project portfolio management and change management in place.
AirSaas is ISO 27001 certified and hosted in France with OVH and Scaleway. Monthly audits are run to ensure compliance with the highest security requirements. Contact us for an NDA and a business continuity plan.

Adopt an effective project portfolio management solution today
The company and the product exist, but no longer under that name: since Planview completed its acquisition on 18 February 2025, Sciforma Vantage has been renamed Planview ProjectAdvantage. sciforma.com now redirects to planview.com and the support portal has been rebranded. No end of life has been announced for the product to date.
Nothing forces you to: Planview stated that existing customers will be able to “keep using their products as they do today”. That said, no public long-term roadmap commitment has been made, and Planview has a track record of a dozen acquisitions. The reasonable position: no panic, but use your next renewal to reassess whether the tool still matches what you actually need — and what your teams genuinely use.
It depends on your dominant use. If your challenge is portfolio governance — making trade-offs, deciding in steering committees, consolidating reporting for the executive committee — AirSaas is built for exactly that, with fast adoption. If you need a full enterprise PPM (fine-grained capacity, timesheets, simulation), look at Triskell or Planisware Orchestra. For the public sector, Project Monitor is a safe bet. And if what you need first is collaborative execution, monday.com will do the job — minus the governance.
The vendor publishes no price list: it is quote-based. The Capterra listing mentions a starting price of $760 per user per year, but that is catalogue data not confirmed by Planview. For comparison, AirSaas publishes its price openly: €60 excl. VAT per active project per month, unlimited users.
Yes for governance: a consolidated macro view of the portfolio, decisions and attention points on the record, steering committees with proper tooling, a flash report in one click. No for execution planning: AirSaas does neither task management nor time entry — that is a deliberate choice. It syncs with your execution tools (Jira, Asana, monday, ClickUp…) so that only what serves the decision comes up. If your use of Sciforma was in practice limited to reporting and portfolio reviews, the switch is a natural one.
No. AirSaas is not project management software, it is a project portfolio governance platform. The idea: keep tracking tasks, time and schedules in your usual software, sync it with AirSaas, and see only what matters for governing your portfolio.
Pricing is public and designed for mid-market companies: €60 excl. VAT per active project per month, with an unlimited number of users — sponsors, business teams and the leadership team get access at no additional cost. A portfolio of 30 active projects therefore comes to €1,800 a month, all in, with a free Go/NoGo checkpoint at 3 months.
Great tool that allows us to streamline the management of our project portfolio. I recommend!
Thomas SagnimorteA fine project and real cross-functional momentum between IT and the business units, in service of Audencia's project portfolio management. A great partnership with AirSaas, Bertran Ruiz! Glad to watch the progress day after day ... and the first results! Onwards!
Marie-Odile LhommeWith the AirSaas tool we were able to ritualize our project review meetings by eliminating PowerPoints and inefficient meetings. This allows us to have the entire IT department aligned and informed about all projects on a daily basis. A really TOP tool!
